HARRISBURG – Rep. Jacob Banta (R-Erie) will be hosting two upcoming Hard-to-Read License Plate events in August.

The first will be held on Monday, Aug. 7, from 4-6 p.m., at his Waterford office, located at 412 High St.

The second event will be held on Thursday, Aug. 10, from 4-6 p.m., at Gravel Pit Park, 10300 West Main Road in North East.

A trooper from the Pennsylvania State Police Troop E will be on-site during both events to help people complete the MV-46 paperwork and verify the need for new plates.

“I am excited for the opportunity to help area residents,” said Banta. “A license plate is deemed illegible when one or more numbers or letters cannot be recognized from 50 feet away. If your license plate is blistered, peeling, damaged, discolored or lost its reflectivity, this opportunity will help you get a brand-new plate at no cost to you.”

Drivers must bring along their unexpired Pennsylvania driver’s license and current vehicle registration card.
