Banta Continuing Work to Reconnect Unclaimed Property with Rightful Owners
NORTH EAST – In an effort to continue to reconnect citizens with unclaimed property, Rep. Jake Banta (R-Erie) is hosting additional unclaimed property events in May.
Banta’s office will be partnering with the Office of State Treasurer Stacy Garrity to assist residents who seek to find and recover property belonging to them at no cost.
A representative from the Treasury will be at Banta’s Waterford Office on Friday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The office is located at 412 High St., Waterford.
The second event will be held on Tuesday, May 28, in Girard from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The office is located at 142 Main St, Girard.
“Our first event helped deliver over $37,000 of unclaimed property for constituents,” Banta said. “My hope is we can continue to reconnect citizens with what is rightfully theirs.”
There is no appointment necessary. Questions about this or any state government issue can be directed to any of Banta’s district offices. Waterford’s office can be contacted at 814-796-7375, Girard’s office at 814-774-3105 or North East’s office at 814-347-7110.
