HARRISBURG – Today, Rep. Jake Banta (R-Erie) announced the awarding of $300,000 through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to fund a new plow truck in Concord Township.
The current plow truck is a smaller vehicle that is no longer adequate for jobs it is used for. The new plow truck will allow Concord Township to complete jobs of snow and ice removal from roadways, and potentially complete non-winter projects.
“Everyone in Erie understands the necessity of snow and ice removal,” Banta said. “These CFA funds for Concord’s new plow truck are vital to protecting our citizens in the winter months. I am proud to have advocated for this investment in public safety.”
The grants were approved and awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which was established as an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
